Bearing pain and embracing solitariness in my weary smile
The treasures inside this golden heart have lost its radiance
A little while, I paused and unloaded your cross
I was standing at the corner of the street
Waiting for somebody to carry the cross for me
No good Samaritan came by and so I waited in vain
Kissing the darkness as it fits my furious soul
Nothing else in mind
But hatred and pride
Disappointed over little things and shouldering unwanted feelings
I see the clouds drifting across the sky
I hear the roll of thunder, heaven’s going to cry
It’s gonna rain
Let it pour, Let it rain on me
If heaven could wash away this loneliness
And wipe the tear from my eye

I started blogging on wordpress February of 2014, with few followers, few likes, and few comments. Then I got bored after a few months of blogging and left this site August of 2014. I understand that part of socializing and gaining friends is to break out of my shell and start knowing people. At first, I was really that shy to reach out because of my fear of being perceived as a loser or a trying hard writer. English is not my first language, as I am a native Filipino (Philippines) and that explains why I was so afraid to reach out to everyone. After a few months of practicing my craft and my skills, I decided to come back and show off my deepest thoughts and feelings to the world. I write not just to express but also to glorify our Lord for the talents He bestowed upon me. I write – simply because I want to venture in the world of poetry.

My poem speaks for itself
I would like to take this opportunity to say “thank you” to some people who really take their time to read my stuffs. It was John Coyote’s (https://johncoyote.wordpress.com/) reblogged of my “You Are” poem that I gained more followers and then everything went smoothly as time goes by. Before I get discouraged easily when people criticize my works. But right now, my heart is open to new lessons and constructive comments from people I follow as well as my followers.
As I take this journey, I hope to gain many new friends whose passion is the same with mine. There are no words to express how happy I am to be part of this beautiful site.

I am writing this piece
I write what I need to write
I have so much to tell
In different languages and tunes
To say what I mean
And to mean what my heart speaks
Not knowing where this pen would lead me
I am sitting in quiet solitude
I let my mind flow like a raging sea
Words that would win your attention
And persuade deeper affection
I am writing this poem
With sublime rhythms
Of lullabies and symphonies

Clock ticking

Tock Tick Tock Tick

The hands moving  in counter motion

Where will time take me?

I listen closely, I heard a familiar voice

That sound my heart longs to hear

And so I am traveling back in time

This is beyond the bounds of possibility,

Even far from reality

While I am pondering the past

Time allows me to travel

Back to your time

When you were in your 20’s

Not to miss any chance and any moment

The memories we dream of making

Faith has it’s way to bring it to reality

Time conspired for us to meet

There is so much to say

So much love to make

You are not my wildest imagination

You are beyond my heart could ever grasp

I will keep on moving backwards

Back to your childhood days

Playing all the games you play

Somewhere in time

Words have left me
Many ideas have gone wasted
I can’t paint the picture in my mind

Tic Toc Tic Toc
Can you take me to the olden days?
Let’s ride no fancy cars
No GPS, just an old map
I wanna travel with you and drive a 60’s ford mustang
To the past, off we go
Let’s see the world in this vintage ride
Not intimidated by the changing times
Baby, show me what history looks like
Can I see your moves and grooves?
As I play your favorite rock and roll music in this good old jukebox
Baby you are my song
Nothing sounds old to me
No Ed Sheeran, no Taylor Swift, no Justin Beiber in the background
Just the sound of some forgotten souls in the past
Can you sing me some Johnny Cash songs?
As I go wondering with Stevie Wonder
And blowing off with the master of rock Pink Floyd
Just let me hear a melody so pure and new to my ears
Like a breath of fresh air
Take me to the olden times
I wanna fall in love again and again

Under the lover’s sky
She waits for her man
With all of his might, he came to rescue her
From the darkness that made her blind
Precious words he hath made
To never leave thy sight
Not to ever let her feel the coldness of the night
All the stars are shining bright
In the dark, there’s beauty you can find
For a love that knows no end
Troubles have left her behind
A love that is strong and pure
He finds pleasure in making her smile
A smile that could launch a thousand souls
A smile that will surely make the sun rise and the stars fall
His love brings out the best in her
The best her heart could ever hold
Love rejoices in the truth
She is the only truth he knows
He showed her the way to the light
And held her hand close to his heart
Promises of forever
In good times and bad times
His love will never fail
