~Put a Spell on Your Pen~

Who is the greatest poet in history?

Who writes best from his heart?

Who can paint a picture through letters?

Who can clearly express his feelings?

Who got the soulful pen?

Who uses blood on his quill?

Who writes from the heart?

Questions so many questions

As to whoever writes best

No one could truly capture his feelings

Unless someone defines it for him

Being best knows no number

The number of likes

The number of comments – they mean nothing at all

It is not about perfect rhyming

When no one reads

Never lose hope

Never think you’re small

No one is greater than the heart who loves to express

Write to express not to impress

Put a spell on your pen

Be magical in your own way

It is not the style

Niether the images nor the words that rhyme

It is a revelation of your beautiful mind

A manifestation of a soulful heart

You are brilliant like anyone

A poet from heaven

Made to tell a story

Write it all in the sky

Write to express, not to impress

  2. “write to express not to impress” great line that one. But the rhyming thing….I just can´t help it, I have fun doing it. And the fun part of this poetry thing, that I´m very new to it and have no idea about the technical things is just to get in front of the computer have a word in mind or an idea and just go with it, poems take me 5 minutes to write at the most. Probably it´s an insult to great poets, but I certainly have fun doing that. Also the technical things I´m starting to explore now are very interesting is not only an art but a science( in a way), so I truly respect those poets and read them and learn from them. But have to say, that when I have most fun, is when I just go with the flow and rhyming I find it to be a happy finding……just minding

    • Just go with the flow… and enjoy expressing yourself… poetry is really fun… there is no such thing as perfect poetry… as long as you enjoy expressing and knitting those words into a beautiful piece… then just go write it out… 🙂 you may try structured too… though the rules are somewhat stricter… you may also bend some rules and make it your own style… 🙂 thanks for dropping by 🙂

  3. I must agree with you both, on this thought.
So much can be said and there are many writers out there. I have read and continue reading some great poets. Not sure if it was the recognition or just someone in the right place that loved their work, that got them going. Famous as they may be. Some of them write just like the rest of us.

Just my thought on this for today. 🙂

    • That is so true… if it is from the heart… genuine and real then that is the most important thing… but if the goal is just messing around… hehehe that doesn’t count…. thanks for always being there… 🙂 ❤
